Important Notes
Travel Considerations:
- within 30 miles $no charge
- 30-75 miles $75
- 75+ miles or overnight $discussed in advance
Short-Notice Weddings:
Weddings scheduled with less than 7 days’ notice may include an additional $100 expedited honorarium, subject to availability
Ministry Consideration:
Reduced honorariums may be available for active church members or documented financial hardship. Requests are handled discreetly.
Important Notes:
- A valid Texas marriage license is required
- Honorariums are due prior to the ceremony date
- Cancellation policies apply as outlined in the officiant agreement
Legal Requirements
Before the ceremony: you must obtain a marriage license from the county; there is typically a 72-hour waiting period (exceptions may apply); both parties must be present. After the ceremony: the officiant will complete and sign the license; you are responsible for returning it.
